UFC president Dana White appeased criticism over Colby covington, who was again accused of racism after a live argument with his rival, Kamaru Usman. At the time, the welterweight champion (up to 77kg.) was arguing with the North American, after completing the UFC Las Vegas 11, when 'Chaos' played with the nationality of the Nigerian, who had mocked Donald Trump's phone call to Covington.

“Who called you? Did you get a call from your little tribe? Did someone send you smoke signals? You're a joke,” said Colby, in a live broadcast on 'ESPN'.
Upon learning of the situation, Dana spoke out. In a promotional press conference for the UFC 253, which takes place this Saturday (26), the 'boss' said he did not understand Covington's speech as racism and that there is no censorship within the organization.
“These guys have their own causes, their beliefs. We don't gag anyone. We allow everyone to say what they want”, said the agent before completing. “I don’t think what he said was racist. I didn’t hear anything racist in what he said,” he concluded.
Last weekend, Covington had one of the best performances of his career, beating the former category champion, Tyron woodley. With the triumph, the American officially returned to the fight for a future belt, which today belongs to Usman – the last athlete to beat him.
Although Colby is eager for a rematch against the champion, Kamaru negotiates a confrontation against Gilbert Durinho. The expectation is for the duel to take place in UFC 256, on December 12th. The fight, however, is not yet official.
