However much the UFC Las Vegas 11 was the scene of a heavy rivalry between Colby covington e Tyron woodley, also yielded good moments. In the second most important fight of the event, Donald Cerrone e Niko Price they tied in a duel that confirmed expectations and pleased the public. However, better than the confrontation, only Price's reaction.

In the post-show press conference, the North American believes he won the fight, but preferred to praise the veteran, who is one of his idols in MMA. 'The Hybrid' took the opportunity to apologize for the eye contact and surprised by revealing that he didn't believe he was capable of competing against a legend of the sport.

“I think I won the fight, but my fingers grew a little and I felt bad about that. It was the desire to face a legend. When I caught Cerrone’s eyes I thought “oh no!” and I felt bad. I fought with myself. I had no bad intention. My goal is to hit the opponent's face and not the eyes. I thought he was going to knock him out right from the start, but he resisted. It was very funny. I will never forget that fight. When I found out that Cerrone was coming to welterweight, I immediately wanted to fight him and I didn't know I could do it, because I wasn't at that level of performance. I’m glad I did it!” said Price.

As there was no winner, the athlete said he would accept a new fight against his idol and, emotionally, said he would like to be the Cerrone of the new generation.

“100% accepted! I grew up watching Cerrone fight. My career is inspired by him and I wanted to be him. I just don't drink. We show fairplay and respect. We greeted each other in every round and hugged in the third. I never hug a man I want to punch in the third round, because I usually kill him! But we're talking about Cerrone! He smiled and I loved it. This fight was glorious for me! He's been in MMA a lot longer than me. Cerrone must have three times as many fights as I have. Whatever he does, I'll be supporting him. Cerrone is THE guy and I would love to be the next 'Cowboy', with my own style”, he concluded.

the fight against Donald Cerrone was the second of Niko Price in 2020. Previously, the fighter had been knocked out by Vincent Luque, in May. Despite being inconsistent in the UFC, 'The Hybrid' is one of the organization's most exciting and charismatic athletes, as his fighting style pleases fans in both victories and defeats.
