Stephan bonnar is scheduled to face the Brazilian Anderson Silva in the main fight of UFC Rio 3, an event that takes place next Saturday, in the capital of Rio de Janeiro. The American, who does not deny his opponent's favoritism, revealed that his family's concern is not that he leaves the Octagon with victory, but with his life.
During the Open Training, held this afternoon, in Arcos da Lapa, Bonnar said his mother even fears for her life in the face of the confrontation against Anderson.
"He is very good. Definitely better than me for sure. But I'm going to fight and we'll see what happens. He is very talented”, praised Bonnar. The fighter also revealed that his mother even fears that he will be killed by the Brazilian. “You know, they love me. They don’t want to see me being killed on television”, joked Stephan.
Despite his mother's concerns, Bonnar guarantees that he will enter the octagon without pressure and hopes to show his desire to win and not give up on the fight.
“Anderson is so good and fights at home that it takes some of the pressure off me. I always fight until I die, I never give up, and it will be like that again”, he added.
