Johnny Walker gets scared, but recovers and delivers a tough knockout to Ryan Spann at UFC Las Vegas 11

The Brazilian Johnny Walker won in his best style. In one of the most anticipated fights in the UFC Las Vegas 11, held this Saturday (19), in the United States, the Brazilian was scared, but managed an impressive turnaround against Ryan spann. After a busy start, the light heavyweight (up to 93kg) scored a knockout in the first round.

With the result, Walker says goodbye to his bad phase and returns to winning in the organization. Considered one of the great Brazilian promises in the category, the Brazilian had two negative results in a row. Now, the fighter resumes his path towards the top of the division.

Spann, who showed a lot of confidence during the promotion of the fight against Johnny, ended up suffering his first defeat since his UFC debut.

In the interview after the fight, the Brazilian stated that he wants to fight soon. The athlete even left open the possibility of accepting a fight at heavyweight (up to 120,2kg).

The fight

The duel began with Spann looking for Walker's legs in the opening seconds. Johnny lost his balance, but managed to get up. The North American began to press the Brazilian against the bars and Walker tried to free himself. The athletes moved away and Johnny ended up being surprised by a right cross and went to the ground. Walker got up, was knocked down again with a singular blow, but the Brazilian showed courage. Walker got back to his feet and took advantage of a distraction by Spann, who went for his legs, but ended up leaving his head exposed. The Brazilian then started hitting Ryan with punches and elbows, which ended up knocking his rival out.
