One of the biggest names in Bellator in recent years, Michael chandler he can, in fact, be hired by Ultimate and, straight away, have a tough time ahead of him. According to 'ESPN' reporter, Ariel Helwani, the fighter is considered to face Tony Ferguson, who was preparing to perform at the UFC 254next month, against Dustin poirier. After negotiations failed, the organization is looking for a new opponent for the 'Bicho Papão' and Chandler could 'fit like a glove' on a card in 2020.

“A name that has been discussed (to face Tony Ferguson) is that of Michael chandler. The UFC is in advanced talks with Chandler, according to sources, and is first on the list to sign him to a contract, but negotiations are not over yet. It’s not clear whether the fight interests Ferguson,” Helwani wrote on his Twitter account.
At 34 years old, Michael has played almost his entire career with Bellator gloves. The athlete was the organization's lightweight champion (up to 70,3kg) on three occasions. In his last title defense, the North American ended up losing his position to the Brazilian Patrick Pitbull, in May of last year.
His last appearance for Bellator took place in August of this year, when his contract ended. On that occasion, the fighter surprised the former Ultimate champion, Ben henderson with a knockout in the first round.
In his professional MMA career, Chandler has 26 appearances, with 21 wins and five setbacks.
