After the soap opera Brock Lesnar Back to MMA, the sport is going through a different life. This time, the one in the spotlight is Nick Diaz. So much so that, Tyron woodley, which has an important commitment scheduled, in the UFC Las Vegas 11, on September 19, against Colby covington, ignored his rival to comment on the matter.

To the program The hollywood beatdown, the former welterweight champion (77,6kg) believes that Nick's return to martial arts will be beneficial and surprised by saying that it would be fair for the veteran to be included in the UFC Hall of Fame.

“If you want to fight, fight. No testing is necessary, just sign the contract and show up in the Octagon. Much is said about the return of Nick Diaz and I think he and his brother deserve the hype, because when they fought in the past, they weren't as celebrated. Just look at the records before Nate faced McGregor. They're embarrassing compared to what he ended up winning in that fight and the second. I respect them for staying strong and relevant enough to earn the money they probably deserved a long time ago. If Nick wants to fight, he just fights. It will be good to have a well-known name competing again. If he doesn't come back, it doesn't matter. I think he’s done enough in his career to be inducted into the Hall of Fame,” Woodley said.

Woodley justified his statement by recalling the times of Nick Diaz in Strikeforce and praised him again.

“Nick deserves it, because he is one of the original bad boys. There are some Hall of Famers who were never champions. He came from Strikeforce, he had a huge reputation at the time and that has to be taken into consideration when it comes to the Hall of Fame. The UFC bought the organization, absorbed the athletes, their fights and achievements come with them”, he concluded.

It is worth remembering that, when he was UFC welterweight champion (77,6kg), Tyron woodley came to challenge Nick Diaz, an action that created a rivalry, and that almost led him to face his younger brother, Nate.
