St. Pierre says he's ready to return against Condit at UFC 154

Canadian Georges St Pierre has been away from the octagon since April last year, when he defeated Jake Shields in the main fight of UFC129. The light heavyweight champion suffered a serious knee injury and almost announced the end of his career. But fully recovered from the joint problem, GSP faces the North American Carlos Condit – interim division champion – to unify the titles at UFC 154.

And in the first press conference to promote the duel, St. Pierre did not hide his happiness at fighting again and assured that he will be 100% for the confrontation.

“Facing opponents at the level I have faced represents quite a challenge. If I can finish a fight before the end, I will. But I have to be prepared for everything, and on November 17th, I will be prepared to fight for five rounds”, said GSP, who was full of praise for the UFC in light of his knee injury.

PUBLICITY:

“I'm happy to be able to do what I like. The UFC took care of me like a king, and I don't know of any organization that takes as good care of its athletes as the UFC. I had the best doctors and surgeons at my disposal. I changed some things in my training, and I have never been as excited to fight as I am now,” said the Canadian.
