Even announcing his retirement from MMA in June this year, Conor McGregor continues proposing and accepting challenges through its social networks. The ball of the moment, now, is Nick Diaz, who shook the world of mixed martial arts with the news that he could return to the sport after more than five years away. On his social networks, the 'Notório', provoked the 'bad boy' and didn't miss the chance to poke his brother, Nate.

“Line them up”, wrote the former featherweight (up to 65,7 kg) and lightweight (up to 70,3 kg) champion on his Twitter account.

While Conor has a historic rivalry with Nate, against whom he fought on two occasions (2016), the duel against Nick is something new.

Even retired, McGregor remains 4th in the official lightweight rankings, but, in his last appearance, the Irishman appeared in the welterweight division (up to 77kg) and put on a show. In the fight that marked his return to the octagon after more than a year away, the 'Notório' defeated the experienced Donald Cerrone with a knockout in less than a minute, in January of this year.

Nick has not performed since the confrontation against Anderson Silva, in 2015. In these more than five years, Diaz tried some returns to the organization, but the idea never came to fruition.

According to Nick's manager, Kevin Mubenga, his pupil is preparing to return at the beginning of 2021, the same period stipulated for Conor's return, as stated by UFC president, Dana White, a few months ago.

PUBLICITY:

While Nick tries to come back, his younger brother, Nate, is almost certain to rematch Jorge masvidal, on December 12th. The athletes repeat the confrontation held in November last year in the dispute for the title of 'Most Thick-Tank'.
