Daniel Cormier he may have officially retired from MMA, but he remains attentive as a commentator in the sport. “Francis must, Francis will (knock him out), actually. I think Francis will get the knockout this time unless he (Miocic) stays out for a long time to cool his chin. He took a lot of damage in the fights between him and me,” Cormier said in an interview with 'ESPN'.

Defeated by Stipe in a real battle in the UFC 252, Daniel believes that the champion's body needs time to recover from the various attacks suffered. Selecting him, then, in the short term, against a high-risk opponent, would be a danger to his reign.

“If Stipe faces Francis in early January, he will lose. You have to remember, he gave a lesson on how to defeat Francis last time and he actually did it. But he took a lot of hits trying to achieve that. If he takes those attacks now, or in six months, he will sleep,” he concluded.

Although DC gave the advice, there is still no prediction on when the UFC plans to negotiate the heavyweight champion's return to the Octagon. after the UFC 252, Miocic assured that he would take time to rest and was not thinking about playing in the near future.
