After beating Pedro Munhoz, Frankie Edgar overtakes Brazilian and reaches the top 5 of bantamweights

The victory of Frankie Edgar about Peter Munhoz last Saturday (22), at UFC Las Vegas 7, not only marked the North American's debut in the bantamweight division (up to 61,2kg.), but also confirmed the former lightweight champion (up to 70,3kg.) in the top 5 of the division. The latest update in the Ultimate ranking confirmed the 5th position for Edgar, who took the Brazilian's position.

Overtaken by Edgar, Munhoz dropped one position and now occupies 6th place in the ranking led by Petr yan. With Frankie's inclusion in the official rankings, athletes like José Aldo e Raphael Assunção also lost their posts.

Previously in 6th, José Aldo, now, is 7th in the group. Beaten on his last appointment, Raphael Assunção, which was number eight, is now at 9th.

With the triumph, Frankie awaits his next commitment and remains in a prominent position to dream of a future title fight.
