After two years away from the octagon, Thomas Almeida has a fight scheduled for October 10

Brazilian overcomes series of injuries and faces Alejandro Pérez in an event headlined by Marlon Moraes and Cory Sandhagen

The wait is over. After more than two years without stepping into the octagon, due to repeated injuries, Thomas almeida is back. The Brazilian faces the 2014 Latin American TUF (The Ultimate Fighter) champion, Alejandro Pérez, in an event that takes place on October 10, in a location yet to be defined. The information was released by ‘La Afición’.

Considered one of the Brazilian promises for the bantamweight category (up to 61,2 kg.), Thomas, 29 years old, resumes his career and seeks to return to the path of victories. The fighter, who arrived undefeated in Ultimate today, has suffered a sequence of three defeats in the last five appearances. His last commitment took place in January 2018, when he lost to Rob font.

Just like the Brazilian, Alejandro is not going through a good time. A UFC athlete since 2014, Pérez is coming off two consecutive defeats. In his last appearance, the Mexican was defeated by song yadong in a first round knockout.

The fighters then stage a recovery match and seek to prove that they still have the capacity to perform at a high level within the category led, today, by Petr yan.

Pérez, 30 years old, has 30 commitments in mixed martial arts. The fighter has 21 positive results, eight setbacks and one draw.
