Gender Anthony Pettis ou Conor McGregor. UFC President Dana White confirmed UFC's next opponent Anderson Silva in what, according to the 'boss', could be the farewell of the Brazilian MMA legend. In a press conference after another episode of 'Contender Series', the president said Uriah Hall as 'Spider's' new opponent, in an event scheduled for October 31st, with no defined location.

“I talked to businesspeople from Anderson Silva a few days ago and this will be his last fight. I think he will retire, but that's up to him. I have nothing to do with this decision. We'll let him do whatever he wants to do. Let's make a competitive and fun fight for the fans. He has two fights on his contract. The fight will take place later this year, I don't know where, because the contract hasn't been signed yet. But it will be against Uriah Hall”, said Dana.

In recent months, Anderson had been insisting on a super fight for his next appearance. With two fights remaining on his current UFC contract, the 45-year-old legend even asked for a fight against Conor McGregor, but recently, he had been betting his chips on a clash with Anthony Pettis.

The names suggested by 'Spider' ended up not pleasing White and his team. In this way, the company was left to give Silva a strong name within the middleweight division (up to 83,9 kg.) and which could provide a great challenge to the fighter who is considered, by many, to be the best MMA fighter of all time.

Anderson has not played since the defeat he suffered against Jared Cannonier, in May last year, at UFC 237. Although he has a successful track record in mixed martial arts, with 34 victories in 45 engagements, the former middleweight champion's recent record is not positive. 'Spider' hasn't won since February 2017 and has had six setbacks in the last 10 appearances.

Current number nine in the division rankings led by Israel adesanya, Hall is on a two-fight winning streak. Uriah would perform this Saturday (22) against Yoel romero, but the Cuban ended up leaving the event and the North American ended up without an opponent.
