The migration of Jon Jones for the heavyweight division (up to 120,2 kg.) of the UFC stirred the spirits of many MMA enthusiasts, including those of Bellator president, Scott Coker. According to the 'boss' of the Ultimate competitor, now, with the star working in the top division, his company has the best category among athletes up to 93kg., which is led by Ryan bader.

“Listen, with Jon Jones moving up to heavyweight, I think we have the best light heavyweight division on the planet, with Bader, Gegard (Mousasi) wanting to move up, we have (Lyoto) Machida, and, now, Corey anderson. We have a lot of 'killers' in that category”, said the president in an interview with 'MMA Junkie'.
Coker took the opportunity to analyze the recent signing of Corey, who left Ultimate to join the competitor's fighter squad. At the time, even coming from a defeat against Jan Blachowicz (in February), Anderson was in the top 5 of the group and was one of the contenders for a future title fight.
“We have big names to welcome him (Corey) to the organization, even Phil Davis – who also played for the UFC. We’re going to be able to have great fights together and I’m very excited about that division,” confirmed Coker.
In addition to Anderson, the champion Ryan bader, Machida and Mousasi, the category also has names like Vadim nemkov, pupil of Fedor Emelianenko, who fights for the belt this Friday (21), for Bellator 244; Liam McGeary and the Brazilian Raphael Carvalho.
