'Miocic x Cormier' referee admits mistake at UFC 252 and apologizes to DC

In the confrontation that confirmed Miocic as the great heavyweight champion (up to 120,2 kg), the referee admitted his mistake in not stopping the confrontation when DC accused that he had been hit by an illegal finger and confirmed that he had apologized to the North American after the duel.

At the time of Miocic's action, Cormier stopped the confrontation to complain to Goddard. The referee, however, did not accept the request and asked for the fight to continue. By analyzing the moment calmly, the driver explained that a confrontation, most of the time, happens dynamically and his resources are limited at the time of the confrontation.
