Aware that he will face a quality opponent with a lot of experience in MMA, Herbert surprised by comparing his next opponent to the current champion of the division. According to the Niteroi native, Daniel has the qualities of an elite opponent and can even be considered more efficient than Volkanovski.

"Daniel Pineda does not take the results to the points. He goes there and finishes his work. He has good jiu-jitsu, 18 submission wins. That's why I think he's better than Volkanovski. He has knockout strength and jiu-jitsu. He doesn't have the same recognition, but he is a very dangerous opponent. In my view, he is more dangerous than the champion.

Even facing an opponent with more fights in his career, Burns is sure that his qualities make him a favorite in the fight. The Niteroi native then projected how he imagines the confrontation unfolding this weekend.

“He thinks I only have one quality. He will take the fight to where he thinks he will win. In my view, he will keep the fight standing, but I wouldn't be surprised if he tried to take me down. If he does this, he will be welcome. It’s my world,” he concluded.
