Great jiu-jitsu legend, Rudolph Vieira is close to having his eighth fight as a professional in MMA. Undefeated in his career so far, the Rio native will have a tough commitment against his compatriot, Markus Maluko, on a card that takes place on October 10th and which has not yet been decided. The information was released by 'MMA Fighting'.

Hired by Ultimate in 2019, this will be Vieira's third fight since his debut. So far, the Rio de Janeiro native has left a good impression in the octagon by winning two victories, by submission, against Oskar Piechota and Saparbek Safarov.
The news of the clash against Rodolfo suited Markus like a glove. Last week, the Brazilian ended up starring in an unusual moment in the organization. Scheduled to face Eric Spicely in the UFC Las Vegas 5, Maluko ended up having his opponent changed at the last minute after his rival claimed to have problems with the weight cut.
The company acted quickly and cast Charlie Ontiveros in Spicely's place. The athlete took on the challenge of facing the Brazilian with less than 24 hours to prepare. The replacement, however, also failed to make the weight cut and the fight was officially cancelled.
Markus has not played since November last year, when he faced Wellington Turman in one of the fights UFC Sao Paulo. At the time, the São Paulo native ended up defeated by his compatriot in a unanimous decision by the judges and, now, he needs to win to stabilize himself in the organization. Maluko, today, has three defeats in five appearances for Ultimate.
