Released by the UFC in November last year, the former bantamweight champion (up to 61,2kg) of the organization, Renan Barao, already has a new house. The athlete signed a contract with Taura MMA and will debut for the company on November 21, in the United States. The information was released by 'MMA Fighting' and the debut date confirmed by 'Combate'.

Going through a complicated moment in his professional career, Barão has not won a fight since September 2016. The athlete ended his cycle in Ultimate after suffering five consecutive defeats, the last in November last year, at UFC Sao Paulo, when he lost to compatriot Douglas Silva in the judges' decision.
Taura will be Renan's opportunity to rebuild his career. The organization, which recently announced the signing of other names who have played in Ultimate, bet on the native of Rio Grande do Norte and believes that the 33-year-old athlete can bring good results to the company.
Barão signed a three-fight commitment and his first challenge for his new home will take place on November 21, in Atlantic City (USA). In addition to Renan, the company also has names such as Antonio Pezão, Rousimar 'Toquinho' and William Patolino.
With 43 appearances in professional MMA, Renan currently has 34 wins, nine losses and one match without results. The athlete held the UFC bantamweight title between 2012 and 2014. As champion, the Brazilian made three title defenses and was considered the organization's best pound-for-pound by the president of Ultimate, Dana White.
The fighter lost the title in 2014, when he exchanged forces against TJ Dillashaw. Barão was defeated again by the North American in the rematch granted to the athlete, in 2015.
