Mike Perry apologizes for restaurant assault: 'I want to be an example'

Almost a month later, UFC fighter regrets incident that occurred in early July and guarantees to improve behavior outside the octagon

In early July, UFC fighter Mike Perry starred in regrettable scenes when he was recorded attacking a man in a restaurant in the United States. After being reprimanded by Ultimate and suspended from fighting for an indefinite period, almost a month later, the athlete used social media to publicly apologize for what happened.

“I want to be a better example for my family, for my unborn child. For my queen, Latory Gonzalez, and for me to earn the respect I deserve. To my supporters and UFC bosses, I want to apologize for how my actions impacted our relationships. I will be better,” Perry wrote on his Twitter account.

The incident at the restaurant located in Texas (USA) happened just a few days after Mike returned to his winning ways and ended a streak of two negative results. At the event, Perry ended up drawing public attention after dismissing his coaches and appearing for the confrontation against Mickey gall counting only on his partner in his corner.

In the fight, the combatant emerged victorious in the unanimous decision of the judges.
