After making UFC promises, Brunson suggests names for his next commitment

After taking an unbeaten record from the organization's promise, the North American wants a top 5 opponent and maintains his dream of fighting for the middleweight belt

After silencing the critics and beating one of the promises for the future of Ultimate at middleweight (up to 83,9kg.), Derek Brunson want more. After winning Edmen shahbazyan in the main fight of UFC Las Vegas 5, held this Saturday (1), in the United States, the North American has plans for big fights for his next challenges.

“Let’s sit down and look at the division. We have guys in the division. We have (Darren) Till, (Jack) Hermansson… there are a lot of guys who could put on a great fight. Let’s sit down, take some time and see where I go”, said the fighter in a press conference after the show.

Current number eight in the division led by Israel adesanya, Derek is fully aware of the great feat achieved by beating an opponent 14 years younger and who was on an undefeated trajectory in MMA. The achievement makes the combatant continue to dream big and plan a great fight for his next step.

"Jared Cannonier and (Robert) Whittaker is going to be a great fight. I will try to face the winner of this fight. You have Darren till, he is coming off a defeat, but he is a great name. I want big fights. I want to come here, prepare and have great fights”, he concluded.

With the triumph over Edmen, Derek confirmed his good form and reached his third consecutive victory in the organization. At 36 years old, the North American now has 21 triumphs and seven setbacks as a professional in MMA.
