Dana White on UFC Rio 3 card: “We have time to resolve”

The injuries of Quinton Rampage Jackson e José Aldo They missed the UFC Rio 3 fight program, an event that takes place on October 13th, in the capital of Rio de Janeiro. But, despite there being only 30 days until the show, and living with the specter of the cancellation of UFC Rio 151, the organization's president, Dana White, says he still has time to resolve the situation.

"José Aldo He was hit by a car, screwed his foot and is out. Rampage Jackson hurt his elbow and won't fight either. The two main fights canceled on the same day, less than an hour apart. I don't know. I have to fix this. I have time to fix it now and we will think of a solution”, said White, in an interview with the North American website “Yahoo Sports".

Dana was mainly upset because of Frankie Edgar, who agreed to face José Aldo, even with reduced preparation time, following Erik Koch's injury, and now he will not challenge for the featherweight belt, unless there is an interim title at stake

PUBLICITY:

"Frankie Edgar You're devastated right now, man. He came off a controversial loss in his last fight, got another title shot, invested money in another camp, and Aldo got hurt. This kid doesn't have a break either. Everyone was dying to see Frankie x Aldo and Glover x Rampage. It's difficult, it's part of the business. It is what it is, and we have to deal with it”, concluded the leader.
