With three fights decided by the judges, the preliminary card of the UFC Las Vegas 5, held this Saturday (1), in the United States, almost had only fights with results guaranteed by points. In the last fight of the stage, Jonathan martinez secured the first knockout of the night in the clash against veteran Frankie Saenz.

In total, the preliminary card was represented by four clashes, which featured debuts and fights confirmed at the last minute.
In the fourth fight of the night, the duel between Frankie Saenz and Jonathan martinez was marked by the resistance and superiority of one of the parties. After a scare at the beginning of the fight, Martinez managed to find his feet in the fight and dominated his opponent for three rounds.
In the second round, Jonathan almost got a knockout, but the veteran ended up saved by the bell. Back for the last round, Saenz, despite having shown a lot of courage in the previous stages, was unable to withstand the pressure from his rival and succumbed after 57 seconds after a brutal sequence of punches.
Before the meeting between Martinez and Frankie, six fighters had already stepped into the octagon. The newcomer Nathan Maness defeated Johnny Muños Jr. on points, as well as Jamal Emmers, who beat Vince Cachero.
In the first fight of the night, Chris Gutierres drew with cody durden in a fight contested in the bantamweight division (up to 61,2kg.).
