Outside the event, according to the leader, José Aldo has been worrying technicians since last week. The Brazilian fighter suffered a motorcycle accident and would undergo tests to confirm whether he would be able to face Frankie Edgar on the 13th. So far there is no confirmation whether the swelling caused by the fall on the motorcycle is related to the cut announced by Dana White this Tuesday on the microblog.

With the injury to José Aldo, Ultimate has not yet confirmed what the main fight of UFC Rio 3 will be, an event that takes place on October 13th, at the HSBC Arena, in the capital of Rio de Janeiro. The organization also did not decide whether to put an interim belt up for grabs at the show.
