In recent weeks, the super fight between the Brazilian Anderson Silva, champion of the UFC middleweight division, and Georges St Pierre, owner of the welterweight category belt, was speculated by fighters, managers and organization directors, however, the Canadian athlete cooled expectations for the confrontation.

"It's terrible. I hate it, but I'm not focused on it. I'm not speculating. I'm just thinking about Condit right now. That’s what I have to do,” said St. Pierre, in an interview with MMA Weekly.
St. Pierre also revealed that there are other challenges among the welterweights before thinking about the duel against Anderson. Names like North American John hendricks and the Danish Martin Kampmann, who will also face each other at UFC 154, are listed as other contenders for the chance to fight for the belt.
“There are a lot of guys out there, and I don’t understand why people are going crazy right now. I just came back from injury, so people see me as a weak link. Let’s see what happens in the future.”
