New controversy. Former interim welterweight champion (up to 77kg.), Colby covington once again accused the former category leader, Tyron woodley to reject a confrontation. On his social networks, 'Caos' displayed an image of the supposed contract and claimed that the fight was negotiated to headline the August 22nd card.

“This was supposed to be the main event of the August 22nd event until Tyron did what his father should have done, and bailed…again,” Colby wrote.
It's not new that fighters are on the verge of promoting a confrontation between two of the most competitive welterweight athletes. Both, however, exchange accusations about who usually avoids the clash.
Covington hasn't stepped into the Octagon since his loss to Kamaru Usman, in December last year. On that occasion, the North American ended up beaten by the champion in a fight valid for the category's linear belt.
Former division champion, Woodley spent more than a year without playing for the UFC. After losing the title to Usman in March last year, the American only returned to the organization in May this year, when he agreed to face Gilbert Durinho. In the confrontation, the Brazilian dominated Tyron and won the unanimous decision of the judges.
