The Brazilian Wanderlei Silva suffered a severe blow this Sunday (26). His father, Holando Pinheiro da Silva, died in a car accident in the city of Ponta Grossa, in the Campos Gerais region. The fighter received the news in Las Vegas, where he currently resides, and will arrive in Brazil this Monday (27) for the wake and burial.

Through his Twitter account, Wand, appearing to be quite emotional, thanked his fans for their support at this difficult time, where several messages were sent to him on social media.

“Thank you for your strength, my brothers. Please pray for our family. A very difficult moment, but I'm glad we will have God's support”, Wand wrote on the microblog.
