After Anderson Silva e Chael Sonnen, a new rivalry emerges in the UFC with another Brazilian athlete. The heavyweights junior gypsy and Alistair Overrem don't miss the opportunity to exchange barbs in their interviews even though they haven't faced each other.

After Cigano stated that he would like to defend his belt against the Dutchman, Overeem stated, in an interview with the UFC Tonight program, that the Brazilian is scared of the fight.

“I think he's scared to fight me. He was happy when that May 26 fight didn't happen. I approached him in Las Vegas and said, 'Let's do this fight. Let's prove something to the world and let's fight'. All of a sudden he acted like he didn’t understand English,” he snapped

Despite being suspended for doping until December 26th, Overeem says he has followed the guidance of the Nevada Athletic Commission – the regulatory entity that suspended him – so that he is qualified to fight as soon as possible.

“My manager and I have a good relationship with the Commission. We are taking all necessary measures and following all the rules. I don’t expect any problems getting a new license when the time is right,” he said.
