Anderson Silva He hasn't fought since May 2019 and has no plans to return to the Octagon. However, the Spider is still a rival that big names want to face. After rumors of a possible superfight against Conor McGregor, another former UFC champion showed interest in sharing the octagon with the Brazilian. The suitor for the duel is Anthony Pettis, former lightweight champion (up to 70.3 kg.).

In a post on Instagram, Pettis, who had been acting as a welterweight (up to 77.1 kg), revealed that he would move up to middleweight (up to 83.9 kg) to take part in the superfight against Anderson.
"It would be an honor!!! Anderson Silva. #ForFans #185 (pounds or 83.9 kg.). #Let’sGo” wrote Pettis in the publication’s caption. In the photo, 'Showtime', as it is known, shares the frame with Spider (see below).

Anderson Silva He is still considered by many to be the greatest MMA athlete of all time. Spider, who reigned in the Octagon between 2006 and 2013, is not going through a good phase, as he has not won a fight since February 2017. In his career, however, he has a record of 34 victories, including 10 title defenses in the UFC, and 10 defeats.
On the other hand, Pettis, who has a record of 23 wins and 10 losses, is a former UFC and WEC lightweight champion. The North American, who is known for applying plastic blows in stand-up fights, like the famous 'matrix kick', in Ben hendersonIn 2010.
