Stipe, who works as a firefighter in the state of Ohio (USA), generated a lot of controversy in recent months when he made it clear that his concern, at that moment, was saving lives and not defending his belt. Meanwhile, your last opponent, Daniel Cormier, continued asking the athlete to assume the status of champion and defend his title, which has not been on the line since the meeting between them, at UFC 241.
After Miocic's publication, DC responded to their rival, showing excitement about the possible confirmation of the trilogy between them.
“You’re ready!” Cormier wrote.

There is still no indication of when the meeting between the two will take place. UFC president Dana White recently stated that the third clash between the heavyweights is one of the fights he is most looking forward to in the 2020 season.
