After overcoming Evan Dunham, Brazilian has a foot injury and needs stitches

Even though he easily passed Evan Dunham at UFC 250, held last Saturday (6), in Las Vegas (USA), Herbert Burns He ended up not coming out of his second fight in Ultimate unscathed. The Brazilian ended up being the victim of a deep cut on his foot when he got his limb caught in the bars of the octagon. On his Instagram account, the Niteroi native showed the 'before and after' of the incident.

Shortly after beating Dunham less than two minutes into the match, the Brazilian showed a lot of discomfort with his foot and left the Octagon with a heavy limp. In the interview after the clash, Herbert spoke about the situation, but assured that he will recover soon.

“My foot is bleeding a lot. I think that when I tried to push him against the fence, I stepped with my left foot on the junction between the fence and the octagon floor and something there cut me. It’s bothering you a little, but it’s going to be okay,” said Burns.

After medical evaluation, the Brazilian needed stitches at the site to stop the blood and promote a faster recovery. Now, the Niteroi native is waiting for his next appointment within the company.

Before Saturday's fight, Burns had stated his desire to face Ryan Hall or Chase Hooper in his next challenge in the lightweight division. Ryan is on an eight-fight winning streak, while Hooper ended up suffering his first career defeat in UFC 250, when he was defeated by the experienced Alex Caceres.
