The 'dispute of truths' between UFC president, Dana White and the light heavyweight champion (up to 93kg.), Jon Jones, is gaining more and more audience after each statement from the parties. After making it public that 'Bones' asked for an exorbitant amount to face Francis Ngannou and was challenged by the athlete, the 'boss' spoke again about the sports legend and criticized the icon's career in sports.

“Who do you believe in? It depends on you. What do I gain by lying? Why would I lie? It doesn't matter. He (Jones) is nervous now. Jon had a good talk with my lawyer, they have a good relationship, but that's just how it is. I don't really care, to be honest. Me and Jon Jones We've always been like this, I always look at what Jon Jones It could have been. He could have been the LeBron James (NBA star) of this sport, he could have literally been that big. For him to demand 15 million, 20 million, 30 million (dollars) is crazy. He can say whatever he wants publicly, that’s his right here in America,” said the president at a press conference after the UFC Woodley x Durinho, last Saturday (30).

Even acknowledging that he is talking about one of the best fighters of all time, Dana stated that he has proof that the conversation with Jon was about values. The North American's request then scared the prosecutors and caused his wish to be quickly discarded.

“Being the greatest of all time doesn’t mean you’re going to make $30 million. Being able to sell does that. Jon Jones did a lot of damage to himself, and in one of thetweets' he came to say that I tarnished his image. Did I stain? You did this to yourself. My lawyer told him, 'I can show you the numbers,' and he said, 'I don't care what the numbers are. I want what I want and that's how it is.' It is not how it works. Why don't you go back and tell your bosses 'I don't care how much this company makes, I want this salary'. Let’s see if this works out,” he concluded.

After White's speech, Jones returned to social media and suggested that he will abandon his position as champion of the organization. In addition to the statement, the athlete even 'climbed' Jan Blachowicz e Dominick reyes to work on defining the new number one.
