The history of Jon Jones in Ultimate it doesn't seem to be heading towards a happy ending. After having the super fight against Francis Ngannou denied and being accused by the company president, Dana White, of imposing an astronomical sum to face the French-Cameroonian, 'Bones' future in the organization is open. Through social media, the athlete stated that he could give up his light heavyweight title (up to 93kg) and even suggested the confrontation to promote a new champion.

“(Dominick) Reyes against Jan (Blachowicz) for the world light heavyweight belt. As of now, I have nothing to gain by facing any of them. Let me know if you want to set a date in 2021 to face 'Izzy' (Israem Adesanya). I hope that by then you will be willing to pay”, wrote the North American.

Last Saturday, after the UFC Woodley x Durinho, Dana commented on the case involving one of the biggest names in the company today. In a few words, the 'big boss' stated that, regardless of who it is, “you will not receive a check for US$15 million, US$20 million or US$30 million to fight”.

With the president's statement, it was up to 'Bones' to make public his desire to take a break from his career and wait to see if, over time, the board will change its opinion on the North American's financial issue.

“I got hurt every time I went up to the octagon to take punches to the head. I don't feel like my payment is worth it anymore,” he wrote before adding: “Bones' is gone. If you see me on the street, call me JJ (Jon Jones), finished.
