The battle between song yadong e Marlon Vera won the 'Fight of the Night' bonus from UFC Overeem vs. Harris. On the card held this Saturday (13), in Jacksonville (USA), the Chinese and Ecuadorian earned US$50 thousand (around R$293 thousand), each, in the fight that opened the main card. Cortney Casey and Miguel Baeza won the award for their performances. The information was passed on by Ultimate to the press.

Yadong and Vera were committed to exciting the spectators in the opening fight of the night's main card. In a clash between featherweights (up to 65,7 kg), the athletes exchanged strength for three rounds and excited the fans who followed the card. At the end of the fight, the Chinese was declared the winner with a unanimous decision by the judges.
One of the 'Performance of the Night' bonuses came from the second fight on the preliminary card. In the fight against Mara Romero Borella, Cortney Casey surprised her opponent by achieving a submission (armbar) in the first round. In addition to the US$50 thousand, the North American managed to recover from the defeat suffered by Cynthia calvillo in its last performance, in February last year. Now, the athlete hopes to continue her journey towards the top of the top category of the flyweight division (up to 52,1kg.).
The second performance award was also given to an athlete from the preliminary card. Miguel Baeza won the big deal after the show against the experienced Matt Brown, when he beat his opponent with a hard knockout 18 seconds into the second round. With the triumph, Baeza managed to guarantee his unbeaten career, which now has nine positive results in a row.
