It is not new that the light heavyweight champion (up to 93kg.), Jon Jones, has been stating his desire to have a super fight for Ultimate in the 120kg division. This time, the North American surprised and suggested a confrontation against the dangerous Francis Ngannou, which comes from an overwhelming victory over Jairzinho Rozenstruik, UFC 249.

Undisputed icon of Ultimate, Jones, last year, made public his dissatisfaction with his current division, which, according to the fighter, does not present an opponent at his height. The fighter, since then, has been flirting with the idea of trying himself among the heaviest fighters and seeking new challenges.
Even when looking for big fights, Jon ended up not being unanimous in his last two belt defenses. In July last year, the North American exchanged forces with the Brazilian Thiago Marreta and emerged victorious in a split decision by the judges.
In February of this year, 'Bones' returned to the octagon to face the promising Dominick reyes. In the confrontation, Jon ended up being surprised by an aggressive rival and was declared the winner in a result that was highly contested by some fans, the specialized press and even the president of Ultimate, Dana White.
