The Brazilian Philip Lins He didn't have the debut he wanted in Ultimate. Scheduled to face the former heavyweight champion (up to 120,2kg), this Wednesday (13th), in Jacksonville (USA), the native of Rio Grande do Norte showed spirit, but ended up being defeated by the Belarusian in the unanimous decision of the judges.

Former PFL (Professional Fighters League) champion, the Brazilian ended up having a weight test in his first commitment for the organization. Even though he is far from the best phase of his career, Arlovski is still considered a big name in the division and was chosen to welcome the team from Rio Grande do Norte.
In a fight fought on the feet during all rounds, the fighters showed a lot of aggression and sought the knockout from start to finish.
The defeat to Andrei interrupted a streak of four consecutive victories for Philipe, who is now awaiting his next challenge to try to secure his first triumph for the organization.
The fight
The fight started with Arlovski taking the initiative with a low kick. Lins returned the attack with two jabs to his opponent's waistline. Philipe tried to find the distance, while Andrei walked behind. The Potiguar continued chasing his rival around the octagon and looking for the knockout. The Brazilian remained more aggressive and rocked Arlovski with a cross in a counterattack. Halfway through the round, the athletes accepted open exchanges in the center of the Octagon. In the final minute, Andrei connected with a good round punch, but Lins was unfazed by the attack. The athletes remained studying each other until the timer reached zero.
In the second stage, Philipe continued walking forward and trying to find the best moment to attack his opponent. Arlovski, however, showed danger in responding to the blows. Halfway through the stage, the athletes slowed down and tried to save energy for the right moment. Philipe tried to frame the Belarusian against the bars and, at one point, the fighters exchanged harsh attacks. The confrontation was interrupted after a low blow delivered by the Brazilian. After the fight returned, Andrei returned more aggressive. The former champion managed two good sequences of straight shots and crosses that exploded in the face of the native of Rio Grande do Norte. Philipe responded with low kicks to the waist.
Right at the beginning of the last round, Lins connected with a good cross to the Belarusian's head. The former champion showed a lot of resistance and continued to respond to the Potiguar's attacks. After two minutes, Philipe managed to hit his rival with two straight shots and two crosses, but Andrei was unfazed. The fight remained tense and fought on the feet the entire time. Halfway through the round, the fighters exchanged blows again in the center of the octagon, but insisted on not falling. The fighters remained aggressive at the end of the confrontation, throwing punches and kicks and seeking to end the fight. In the final seconds, the heavyweights studied each other until the end of the confrontation.

Thiago Moses entered the octagon needing to beat the experienced Michael Johnson to improve his recent record within the UFC. After a disadvantage in the first round, the Brazilian believed in jiu-jitsu and achieved a beautiful submission (heel hook) over the North American in the first fight on the preliminary card.
Before the UFC Smith x Teixeira, the Brazilian had made three appearances, losing on two occasions and winning one match. The victory over a big name in the organization now puts the São Paulo native on the radar of the lightweight division (up to 70,3kg).
After another defeat, Johnson put the bad moment in his career into effect. With 35 fights as a professional in MMA, the North American now has eight defeats in the last 11 fights within Ultimate.
After the fight, Thiago suggested a fight against the former lightweight champion, Athony Pettis, who he defeated Donald Cerrone last weekend, at UFC 249.
Chase Sherman defeats Isaac Villanueva in first fight of the night

In the first clash of the night, Chase sherman and Isaac Villanueva had a tense fight at the opening of the card. Chase, who was making his return to Ultimate after just over a year away from the company, needed to show his skills against an experienced opponent, but a newcomer to the organization.
After a well-fought first round, Chase showed his superiority by connecting a great sequence of blows that took Isaac to the ground. After the fall, Sherman was left to strike his opponent until the referee intervened.
Kelleher beats Azure with brutal knockout

The second performance of the night also gave the spectators a reason to excite the show. In the encounter between Hunter Azure and brian kelleher, experience turned out to be superior to youth with a brutal knockout.
At 33 years old, Brian stepped into the octagon to make his second appearance in 2020. Coming off a victory over Ode Osbourne, Kelleher had an obligation to put an end to Azure's unbeaten run (8-0) in his professional career.
After a very aggressive and busy first round, Kelleher landed a great punch, which made his rival collapse immediately. It was then up to the athlete to strike until the referee interrupted the confrontation.

In the co-main fight of the night, Ben Rothwell and Ovince St-Preux gave fans one of the most balanced fights of the night. In an aggressive confrontation with a chance of a knockout for both sides, Rothwell won the judges' split decision.
The confrontation began with Ben superior in the confrontation, walking forward, while Ovince moved around the octagon trying to tire his opponent. Preux, who was making his debut at heavyweight, however, loosened up throughout the match and put his opponent in danger on a few occasions.
Because he was more effective in his strikes, the judges understood that Rothwell deserved the victory and confirmed the second positive result in a row for the North American, who seeks to get closer to the elite of the division dominated by Stipe Miocic.
