With just under a week left for Ultimate to resume its activities, MMA fans are already starting to place their bets for the main fights of the season. UFC 249, which takes place this Saturday 9th, in Jacksonville, Florida (USA). Away from the sport since the beginning of last year, after being caught in an anti-doping test, TJ Dillashaw gave his opinion on the fight between Henry Cejudo e Dominick Cruz, valid for the title of roosters (up to 61,2kg.).

“I believe Cruz wins the fight. I think he takes the decision (of the judges). I don't think Cejudo is all he says he is. He's very good, don't get me wrong. He is a great athlete and has done incredible things in the combat world. But I don't think he's at the level of what Cruz can show. It will be difficult for Cejudo to deal with Cruz's movement”, said TJ in an interview with 'ESPN'.

Dillashaw also explained that the technical issue will not be the difference in Dominick's advantage over the current champion. For TJ, the way his compatriot moves inside the Octagon will pose difficulties for Henry.

“It’s not that Cruz is super technical. He's just 'clumsy' and difficult to deal with. Dominick has a lot of holes in his game. There is a way to beat him, I just don't know if Henry has the chops to do it. The way Cejudo needs to combat Cruz is by not being overly aggressive, don’t chase him,” he concluded.

TJ and Henry have a history in the sport. In January 2010, when Dillashaw was still the bantamweight champion, and the 'Triple C' flyweight champion (up to 56,7kg), he decided to take a risk in the lower division and face the then title holder. The plan, however, did not work. The athlete ended up being defeated quite easily with a knockout in the first round.

Shortly afterwards, TJ would be caught in a drug test and would receive a two-year suspension from acting professionally.

I believe there was a mistake in the matter, in fact Cejudo beat Dillashaw in January 2019 and not in 2010 as stated in the text, besides, great work from you! Keep up the excellent content.
