Undefeated in Ultimate with three fights, Amanda ribas It is already a Brazilian reality within the straw division (up to 52,1kg.). From Minas Gerais, Varginha, the athlete comes, at each presentation, showing that she arrived in the UFC to stay. With confident performances, the fighter is cautious when talking about her future in the division, but she envisions a title fight soon.

“I'm ambitious. So, I think at the end of this year or the beginning of next year (I can fight for the belt). I need more fights. I know that. Not just for the rankings, but for me. I need to have more experience in the UFC, with the fans and, maybe at the end of this year, or beginning of next, (I will fight for the title)”, said the Brazilian in an interview with 'MMA Junkie”.
At just 26 years old, Ribas shows maturity when dealing with his career, even more so at the beginning of his contract with Ultimate. The fighter understands that the road to the top is long and accelerating a process can be fatal if a mistake is made.
“I think when we rush things, we put ourselves too far ahead. I think we need to take it step by step to get where we want. Sometimes my dad and my coaches say, 'Calm down. Relax. Train. Everything happens at the right time”, he concluded.
The title of straws today belongs to the Chinese Weili Zhang. The champion won the belt after beating Jessica Andrade in the main fight of UFC Shenzhen, in August last year.
Ribas currently has 10 fights as a professional in MMA. The Minas Gerais team has nine wins and just one defeat. His last performance took place in March this year, when he defeated Randa markos in one of the fights UFC Brasilia.
