The coronavirus pandemic continues to influence the cards still confirmed in Ultimate. This time, the UFC 250 should have its location changed due to the fact that the Ibirapuera Gymnasium, a space reserved to accommodate the company's structure, will serve as a hospital base while the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic lasts. The information was released by 'Combate' after confirmation from the São Paulo State Department of Sports.

The situation of the UFC 250, however, is no surprise to many. In recent days, rumors have grown that the show could be transferred to the United States, as countries' governments have increasingly adopted measures to prevent the disease. Decrees that prohibit the promotion of shows with public gatherings have been published and, therefore, the chances of them happening are increasingly minimized.
O UFC 250 would bring Brazilian fans two title fights involving athletes from the country. In the co-main fight, Amanda nunes would put his featherweight title (up to 65,7kg.) on the line for the first time in. Still kept on the card, the Bahian woman faces Felicia spencer.
The icing on the cake, however, would be the battle between Henry Cejudo e José Aldo, for the rooster belt (up to 61,2kg.). The champion, however, last week tried to challenge the former number one in the division, Dominick Cruz, to replace the Brazilian, if he is unable to travel to the new event location.
Last Tuesday (7), the 'New York Times' stated that Ultimate rented a casino located on an indigenous reservation, in the state of California (USA), where it will promote UFC 249, which takes place on April 18th. The information is not yet official, but, if confirmed, it is possible that the organization will transfer its next events to the area, including the show on May 9th.
