Two of the best lightweights in Brazilian MMA seem to be on a collision course again. Cleiton Predador, BRAVE CF category champion, had a fight scheduled for the Arab organization's return to Brazil, when he would face Guram Kutateladze. The Swede was injured and Luan Miau took his place, seeking revenge, as Cleiton was responsible for taking the belt from him.

They would fight again at BRAVE CF 35, but the new coronavirus pandemic forced the organization to postpone the event. The two, however, continue to tease each other through social media. Cleiton declared that he would like to “hit Miau again”, who countered by saying that, in the next meeting between the two, the belt will return to his possession and that he, Luan, is the real champion.

Since the duel between the two, Miau has ventured into super lightweight, an intermediate category between lightweight and welterweight (limit of 74,9 kg or 165 lbs). At BRAVE CF 29, he dominated the tough Russian Gadzhimusa Gaziev, winning the judges' decision.

Cleiton, in turn, has not fought since the duel against Luan and guaranteed that he will prepare for all options (the title shot should go to Kutateladze or Luan) when BRAVE CF resumes its activities.

The first duel

Cleiton Predador and Luan Miau faced each other for the first time at BRAVE CF 25, which took place in August last year in Belo Horizonte. On that occasion, after weeks of provocations, Cleiton quickly submitted the CM System athlete, shocking the world and becoming BRAVE CF lightweight champion.
