Ultimate tried to maintain its annual calendar despite the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. However, with the virus causing several deaths around the world, the organization had to change its plans. As a result, the UFC canceled the next three events scheduled on its schedule this Monday night (16).

Thereby, UFC London, scheduled for next Saturday (21), in England, the ufc columbus, initially scheduled for the 28th and UFC Portland, on April 11, were removed from the show.
Over the weekend, the UFC even tried to move the cards from Columbus and Portland to Las Vegas, at its event center without the presence of an audience. However, with several flights being canceled and the Nevada Athletic Commission – the entity that regulates Las Vegas events – suspending activities until further notice, the franchise was left with its hands tied.
President Dana White revealed that the cancellation was not Ultimate's choice. “We have no other choice now but to postpone these fights. So, we are postponing the next three events,” said White, in a live appearance on ESPN in the USA
Khabib vs Ferguson at UFC 249 maintained
Dana White, in the same statement, made a point of stating that the show's next biggest event, the UFC 249, with the long-awaited fight between Khabib Nurmagomedov e Tony Ferguson, for the lightweight belt, is maintained.
"Tony Ferguson against Khabib, on April 18, is still up in the air and that will still happen”, he guaranteed.
What events have been canceled by the UFC?
UFC London:
Event, which would take place in the English capital, next Saturday (21). The show would feature the former champion in the main fight. Tyron woodley, first in the welterweight rankings (up to 77.1 kg.), against Leon edwards, fourth in the classification.
Brazil would be represented on the card by Geraldo de Freitas, which would face Jack shore.
ufc columbus
O ufc columbus, which was moved to Las Vegas, was scheduled to take place on April 28th. The main attraction of the show would be a duel between heavyweights Francis Ngannou, second in the heavyweight rankings, against Jairzinho Rozenstruik, sixth in the classification.
Brazil would have two representatives on the card: Raphael Assunção, who was without an opponent after Cody Garbrandt's injury e Raoni barcelos, which would face cody stmann in the preliminary program
UFC Portland
The event would be the first of Ultimate in April, scheduled for the 11th. The main attraction would be the fight between heavyweights alistair overeem e Walt Harris.
Brazil would have six representatives on the card. Vincent Luque against Randy Brown; Alex Leko against Tristan connelly; Karol Rosa, which would face Julia Avila; Markus Maluko, which would face Alessio diChirico; Rodrigo Zé Colmeia who would measure forces with Don'Tale Mayes and Davi ramos who was scheduled for the duel against Arman Tsarukyan
