Amanda Nunes defends belt against Felicia Spencer at UFC 250, in São Paulo

Only Brazilian champion in Ultimate, Amanda nunes will put his reign at stake in Tupiniquins land. The Brazilian defends the featherweight title (up to 65.7 kg.) against the Canadian Felicia spencer No. UFC 250, an event that takes place on May 9th, in São Paulo. Confirmation of the duel was released by ESPN in the United States.

Amanda, who is also champion of the bantamweight division (up to 61.2 kg.), will make her first defense of the featherweight title. The Bahian woman won the category belt by surprising her compatriot Chris Cyborg and knocking out the Paraná native at UFC 232, in December 2018. On that occasion, she joined the select group of fighters who hold two Ultimate belts simultaneously – in addition to Leoa, only Conor McGregor e Daniel Cormier achieved this feat.

Nunes has a professional record of 19 wins and four losses in his career. She comes from a sequence of 10 serial triumphs and in her last performance, the Bahian defended the bantamweight belt by dominating the Dutch woman Germain de Randamie No. UFC 245in December 2019.

In turn, Spencer will have a second chance to win the UFC featherweight belt. The Canadian, who has a record of eight wins and just one defeat, challenged Chris Cyborg at UFC 240, in July 2019, but was defeated in a unanimous decision by the judges. In her last fight, 'FeeNom', as she is known, knocked out Zarah Fairn dos Santos, in the UFC Norfolk, last Saturday (29).

UFC 250

O UFC 250 it will be the organization's second event in Brazil in 2020. For the first time in history, Ultimate will hold two title fights at the same show in Brazil. That's because in the main fight of the night, Henry Cejudo defends the bantamweight belt against the Brazilian José Aldo.
