Undefeated in MMA, Rudolph Vieira is, without a doubt, one of the great Brazilian promises in the middleweight division (up to 83,9kg.). With an impeccable record to date, the athlete, who faces Saparbek Safarov this Saturday (7), at UFC 248, revealed that he dreams of winning the category belt, but admits that the commitment is not simple. “I want to do the same thing as Fabricio Werdum he did. He was the only one to be a jiu-jitsu world champion, ADCC champion and UFC champion. An almost impossible task for me, but this is my focus, following him”, declared the carioca.
Rodolfo, who made his UFC debut in August last year, with a victory over Oskar Piechota in one of the fights at UFC Uruguay, stated that he fulfills an old desire to perform in Las Vegas, despite saying that his desire was to perform on the Brasília card, which takes place on March 14th.
“I dreamed (of fighting in Las Vegas), but I didn't know that my dream would come true so soon. I asked Joinha (Jorge Guimarães) to put me to fight in Brasília, he said it wasn't possible and they wanted to put me in Las Vegas. I was nervous at the time, but there was no way I could refuse. I think it's a lot for a guy, in his second fight, to fight in Las Vegas. Good thing the focus is on the belts, no one will pay much attention to my fight. The event will be empty”, said the middleweight.
If he defeats Saparbek this Saturday, the Brazilian, in addition to maintaining his unbeaten record in his career, will move closer to the elite of the category. The fighter currently has six fights as a professional in MMA.
