Just over a year after debuting for Ultimate, Taila Santos has a new appointment with the company. The Santa Catarina woman has a commitment scheduled against Gillian robertson in one of the fights at UFC Saskatoon, which takes place on June 20, in Canada. The information was confirmed by the Canadian on her official Instagram account.

Taila was hired by Ultimate after standing out on 'Dana White's Contender Series'. At the time, the Santa Catarina native caught attention after defeating Estefani Almeida in a unanimous decision by the judges in a fight held in August 2018.
Six months later, Santos stepped into the octagon for the first time as an official athlete of the organization. In a fight that represented one of the UFC Fortaleza presentations, which took place in February last year, the Brazilian was committed to defeating Mara Romero Borella. The Santa Catarina native, however, did not achieve the expected result and ended up with a split decision from the judges.
Just like Taila, Gillian also needs a triumph to get back on track. In October last year, the Canadian was defeated by Maycee Barbeer by knockout in ufc boston.
At UFC Saskatoon, Robertson will reach the mark of seven UFC commitments. The athlete, to date, has four triumphs and two setbacks since making her debut for the company.
