the news that Henry Cejudo e José Aldo will perform the main fight of the UFC 250, which takes place on May 9, in the city of São Paulo, did not please all Ultimate representatives. Two elite athletes in the bantamweight division (up to 65,7kg) made a point of expressing their dissatisfaction with Ultimate's decision to select the North American and the Brazilian to compete for the category's belt. On your social networks, aljamain sterling e Petr yan criticized the organization.

“The fight that no one asked for and that no one would want to watch,” wrote Aljamain.
Currently in second place in the bantamweight rankings, Sterling is going through a great phase in his career. The North American is on a four-fight winning streak; the last one about the Brazilian Peter Munhoz.
Petr yan (3rd in the ranking), who has become one of the most respected fighters in the category, also made a point of writing about his opinion of the clash between the May duel. Coming on a nine-fight win streak, the Russian has never lost in Ultimate and hasn't lost since 2016.
“This clown (Cejudo) chose (José) Aldo because I don't speak perfect English. Since when does José speak fluent English? What is the logic of this? Henry knows he is not unanimous and is insecure. In his mind, he has already been defeated by me. UFC, give me someone who believes in himself,” Yan posted.
The revolt of the two athletes is justified by the fact that Aldo only performed once among the bantamweights and was defeated (in a split decision) by Marlon moraes in one of the fights UFC 245. After the setback, Manauara was officially included in the official ranking, occupying sixth position.
The fight with Aldo will represent the first defense of the belt for Henry, who became champion in June last year, beating Marlon in the UFC 238.
