Lucas Mineiro returns to lightweight and faces Russian at BRAVE 35, in Brazil

Former champion of the category faces Russian Abdul-Rakhman Makhazhiev, in an event that takes place in Balneário Camboriú

Former BRAVE lightweight champion, the Brazilian lucas mineiro is back in the category that established him in the organization – after a quick stint at featherweight in 2019. Mineiro's return to 70,3 kg will take place when the organization returns to Brazil, in March. The Brazilian athlete's opponent will be Russian Abdul-Rakhman Makhazhiev.

“Soulman”, as he is also known, is coming off a quick victory in his debut for the organization, in December last year, in Kyrgyzstan. On that occasion, Makhazhiev submitted Sanzhar Azhibaev in the first round and expanded his professional record to nine victories and
five defeats.

With 20 wins and just five losses in his career, lucas mineiro chegou ao BRAVE CF ainda nos primórdios da organização e rapidamente se estabeleceu como um dos principais nomes do evento. Em sua mais recente aparição do cage do BRAVE, Mineiro desceu de peso e desafiou Bubba Jenkins pelo título mundial, em julho de 2019. Na ocasião o brasileiro acabou superado pelo rival norte-americano, em combate realizado na cidade de Londres (ING).

BRAVE 35 takes place on March 25th, in Balneário Camboriú. The event marks the organization's fifth visit to the country, making Brazil tied with Bahrain (home of BRAVE) as the nation with the most editions held in history.
