Mutante lands a round kick on Serginho in the TUF Brazil final

In an event full of great fights, the Minas Gerais Cezar Mutant and Ceará Ron Jason They are the first TUF Brazil champions. In the finals held at UFC 147, a show promoted this Saturday (23), in Belo Horizonte, winners went through Geoffrey Pepey e Serginho Moraes in the judges' decision.

In the main fight of the night, the North American ruined the Brazilian party by defeating Wanderlei Silva in the unanimous decision of the judges.

Franklin beats Wand and cools down Mineirinho
Rich Franklin was hastily called in to replace Vitor belfort and face Wanderlei Silva in the main fight of UFC 147, but the North American was not intimidated by the challenge and silenced the Minas Gerais fans. With greater reach, Franklin struck and did not give Wand the opportunity to strike openly, the Brazilian's specialty.

The big moment of the “Crazy Dog”, as the Brazilian is known, happened in the second round, when Wand hit the tip of Rich's chin, knocking him down, being saved by the bell.

But from the third round onwards, Franklin came back calmer and took control of the dispute again to win the judges' unanimous decision (49×46, 49×46, 49×46).

Mutante overcomes Serginho and wins TUF
Serginho Moraes entered the dispute as a big underdog in the fight against Cezar Mutant, but what we saw in the fight was a fighter who improved his standing and played a tough game against the Minas Gerais native. But with greater reach and striking, Mutante managed to knock down Serginho, in addition to a beautiful round kick.

At the end of the second round, Serginho still connected a sequence of blows, which almost led to Cezar being knocked down, but it was not enough to take away Mutante's victory in the unanimous decision of the judges.

“I feel really good and happy. I trained a lot and this show is for the public. I want to represent Belo Horizonte in the UFC”, said Mutante.

Jason wins Pepey and wins TUF among the featherweights
In the first TUF Brazil final, Ron Jason counted on the support of the Minas Gerais fans to face Geoffrey Pepey. The fighter from Ceará, who entered the Octagon crying, had better striking against Pepey, who was also warned for illegal strikes during the confrontation.

At the end of 15 minutes of fighting, Ron Jason was declared the winner in the unanimous decision of the judges. Very emotional, Rony thanked his coaches and the affection of the people in Belo Horizonte. “The people welcomed me very well. It's a dream come true, I forget everything when I fight and that's what I have to say to everyone. Dream, wake up and achieve,” he said.
