Ultimate's Director of International Business, Marshall Zelaznik, announced during the UFC 147 press conference in Belo Horizonte that the organization would return to the Rio de Janeiro in October this year. And, it seems, the show already has its first star confirmed.
Through his Twitter account, Vitor belfort announced his presence on the fight program in the “Marvelous City”.

“Hey guys, good news: I'm going to fight in October at UFC Rio. I count on your support, my hand will be free to punch in the second week of July”, wrote Belfort on the microblog.

The event in Rio will be the third edition of the UFC in the “Marvelous City”. In the first event, held in August 2011, the main attraction defended the Anderson Silva against Yushin Okami. In January 2012, at UFC 142, the organization returned to Rio and had as its main attraction the victory of José Aldo about Chad Mendes, maintaining his reign in the featherweight category.
