“All this time I've been in the UFC I've been alternating between winning and losing. But I have evolved a lot as an athlete. I entered the UFC and was just a striker who defended takedowns relatively well and had a good guillotine. But today I'm doing very well. I am a complete athlete and dominate all areas. I can study a fight and see the best space to fit my game. With each fight I evolve a lot”, said the Brazilian.

Trying to leave behind the defeat suffered to Stefan struve In his last appearance, in February last year, Pezão will face a rival who has had two consecutive fights without results and who has yet to win in the Ultimate Championship. Marcos then spoke about the strategy outlined to face Sosoli.

“I am a striker by nature. I'm a knockout artist, a guy who always fights forward. Anyone who follows me has never seen me run away from a fight, so I'm very blunt. On the other hand, Ben Sosoli is also a striker, more of a boxer, because he doesn't kick that much. He has fast boxing, he always comes forward. So, that’s what it’s going to be like, two trucks that are going to collide,” he declared.

This weekend, Pezão will reach the mark of 10 fights for the UFC. To date, the athlete has five wins and four losses playing for the company. In his professional MMA record, Marcos has 23 fights, with 16 wins, six setbacks and one draw.
