The 'loudmouth' explained the information by saying that Masvidal intends to carry out a confrontation that would bring more profit to his pocket. According to the North American, Jorge intends to face Conor McGregor, who recently returned to the Octagon and played at welterweight.
“He (Jorge) will try and wait to fight Conor McGregor, the little Irish elf. (Masvidal) will think he is more valuable and will wait Conor McGregor or even a rematch against Nate diaz,” declared Covington.
Thinking this way, Colby stated that he intends to return to the octagon in ‘International Fight Week’, in July. This, however, is the date that the UFC president, Dana White, confirmed that he intends to hold the confrontation between Masvidal and Usman for the linear title of the category.
Covington hasn't fought since the tough setback to Kamaru, on December 14, for UFC 245. The athlete is reportedly recovering from a fractured jaw, an injury that the fighter denies.
