The imposing victory of Jan Blachowicz about Corey anderson in the main fight of UFC Rio Rancho, held last Saturday (15), in the United States, keeping the North American away from a title fight in the near future. In addition to the setback, Corey's negative result resulted in a provocation from the division champion, Jon Jones, who made a point of provoking the athlete, responding to the criticism suffered by 'Bones' after the confrontation against Dominick reyes, at the beginning of February. After carrying out the UFC 247, on February 8, Corey harshly criticized Jon, who emerged victorious against Reyes in a result criticized by a large portion of sports fans and the specialized press. In the week of this weekend's show, Anderson had stated that he had revealed the 'secrets' to defeating Jones, but, however, he ended up defeated by Jan in the fight that could confirm him as the next challenger for the belt.

After UFC Rio Rancho, 'Bones' was open to a fight against Blachowicz and praised the Polish's performance, who defeated Corey by knockout in the first round.
