the polish Jan Blachowicz has plenty of reasons to celebrate after his performance at UFC Rio Rancho, held last Saturday (15). In addition to defeating with property Corey anderson, one of the most dangerous names in the light heavyweight division (up to 93 kg.), the fighter managed to attract the attention of Jon Jones, who watched the fight from the front row. After the show, in an interview with the press, the champion stated that he welcomes a confrontation against Blachowicz.

“Jan (Blachowicz) has been incredible. The way he knocked out Luke Rockhold (July 2019), the way he knocked out Corey anderson. I mean, these guys aren't really known for taking a lot of hits, but he's pulling the trigger and connecting punches. I think he deserves (to fight for the belt)”, said Jon.

Jones took the moment to comment on Corey anderson, who came into conflict with Ultimate after having his request to fight for the belt denied after he won Johnny Walker No. UFC 244, in November last year.

“Honestly, I think he (Corey) was more worried about fighting me than facing Jan Blachowicz, and it showed him a valuable lesson in what happens when you skip steps,” said Jones.

If the UFC fulfills 'Bones' wish and makes the fight against Jan happen, the athlete will frustrate the plans of some fans and Dominick reyes, who was hoping to get an immediate rematch after being defeated in a contested fashion by Jones in the main event of the UFC 247, in early February.
